A new racing game for the upcoming indie games mice show the action of the game and the 1930s-light visuals, while also showing a release window.

Back in MayPolish developer Fumi Games released a preview of mice. Even at that first stage, with its boxy gray levels and artistic graphics, the shooter looked striking and unique because of its black-and-white, classic style and animation. Now, ahead of the new year, Fumi Games has released a trailer that shows off a better version of mice.

mice‘s new gameplay trailer (h/t IGN) features new weapons (including a pump-action rifle) and enemies not seen in the first teaser. We also see how the war works in this game world, and the player seems to be able to run around and blow heads, all in the beauty of black and white. I especially liked the part where an enemy burns and turns into a pile of dust with blinking eyes. Nice!

Fumi Games explains mice as a “creepy, noir-fueled FPS game that draws inspiration from classic 1930s films.” Players will become a private detective who must investigate a “city of Noir full of gangs, criminals, and people from the dark side.” According to Fumi, the enemies will act like cartoon characters, which—along with visuals—must be done. mice plays and looks unlike any other shooter out there.

I’ve been interested in checking it out for a long time mice from that first teaser back in May. This new trailer makes me even more pumped, because the game seems to be coming along well, and the action seems to be fast and explosive. Finally, a cup head for gun lovers.

As mentioned earlier, mice is scheduled to launch in 2025 on PC. On Fumi’s official websiteit also confirms that there are plans to bring the game to PlayStation, Xbox, and Switch, too.
