An Arab-Israeli man hanged plagiarism posters and placed an Israeli flag over the Palestinian flag outside Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s (R-MI) Capitol Hill office.
“Shame on you,” he replied when they were taken down within five minutes.
Tlaib is the only Palestinian American in Congress and is an outspoken critic of Israel. He was criticized by the House last month for his story about the Israel-Hamas war.
Joseph Atata tweeted his protest action, saying, “This is what happened when I hung the posters of the detainees on the door of Rashida Tlaib’s office…”
The video was presented in English with Hebrew subtitles.
“Those children were kidnapped by Hamas,” Haddad said, holding up posters of the children’s faces. “And Rashida Tlaib has nothing to say? Anything? Dangerous? So, now, I’m giving the document to him to make sure he doesn’t forget that we robbed Israel in Gaza, kidnapped by Hamas. But if the English doesn’t change its mind, maybe the Arab will change its mind,” Haddad said as he posted documents on a board outside the closed door of Tlaib’s office.
“Do you want to free the Palestinian people? Free the Palestinians from the terrorist organization Hamas,” he said.
Haddad then made an Israeli flag and attached it to the hanging Palestinian flag.
outside Tlaib’s office.
“I really hope he doesn’t take this away,” he said while pointing to the documents of the abducted children.
The video then cuts to “five minutes later,” when Haddad returns to the office.
“It’s unbelievable. You see, as expected, they took down the ads. And really, it’s been five minutes,” Haddad said, adding, “Shame on you, Rashida Tlaib.”
Tlaib’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
