Rep. Dan Goldman (DN.Y.) and former Rep. George Santos (RN.Y.) clashed online Saturday over Santos’ successful Cameo business after he was fired from Congress last week.

After being fired, Santos turned to the Cameo mobile phone service, where one can pay $400 for a regular message from the former politician.

“Hey George Santos, friendly advice: make sure you pay your taxes on your income,” Goldman saiddelving into the criminal charges Santos is facing over wire fraud and financial violations.

But Santos jumped in again, questioning his reason.

“Still looking for relevance from my name? Man Dan, I’m off to find someone else to step up and back you up!” Santos reply.

Cameo videos of Santos have gone viral, appearing on late night broadcasts and on social media. Already an internet celebrity, Santos has turned his internet fame into an internet sensation.

The campaign of Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) even sent a Santos message to rival Sen. Bob Menendez (DN.J.) mocks him as Fetterman calls for Menendez to resign because of his own criminal convictions.

Santos said he made more money from Cameo this week than his entire congressional salary of $174,000.
