One UI 6.1 brings more battery protection features to Samsung phones
According to a new leak from Tarun Vats, One UI 6.1 shows more battery protection. Default mode stops charging at 100% and then resumes at 95%, while Adapt mode charges the phone to 80% and stops until when you wake up. This feature is seen on many other Android phones. Max mode stops battery usage at 85%, which is generally considered good for battery health.
Some of these features have the potential to protect the battery powered by on-device AI that learns your usage behavior and acts accordingly. If these are the only battery protection features in One UI 6.1, it just lacks the battery health feature that all iPhones have. It shows the remaining battery health capacity compared to when the device was new.
The Galaxy S24 will be equipped with a 4,000mAh battery, while the Galaxy S24+ will have a 4,900mAh battery. The Galaxy S24 Ultra will continue to use the same 5,000mAh battery as its predecessors, the Galaxy S22 Ultra and the Galaxy S23 Ultra. All three phones are expected to be powered by more chips, so the battery life is better.
