Welcome to Week 14 points!
For just the third time this season, the NFL held a doubleheader on Monday night and it may go down as the best game in the Monday in NFL history with two games going down to the wire. In New York, the Giants stunned the Packers by hitting a 38-yard field goal after overtime to pull out a 24-22 victory.
In Miami, the Titans won 28-27 over the Dolphins by overcoming a 14-point deficit in the last three minutes. To give you an idea of how uncertain Tennessee’s victory is, consider these numbers:
- NFL teams have lost 642 straight games after trailing by 14 points in the final three minutes.
- Teams are now 4-2,074 when scoring 14 or more points in the last 3 minutes over the past 20 seasons. Four wins compared to 2,074 losses (The last team to pull off a comeback was the Saints in 2017).
- The Titans are the first team in NFL history to come back from 14 points or more in the final three minutes and WIN IN RULE.
- The last time such a comeback happened in a Monday game was Peyton Manning’s famous comeback against the Colts in 2003. game, the Colts trailed 35-14 with four minutes left, before pulling out a 38-35 overtime victory.
- It was the most upset win in the league since the 2021 Colts-Jags regular season finale
This game was also very disappointing. The Titans went to Miami as a 14-point underdog, making this the biggest upset in two years.
