Inland County police are chasing a man suspected of driving from Fontana to Magic Mountain on Thursday night.
The car pulled up around 7:15 in the evening, when the driver stopped the man who was involved in the shooting. said by the Police Office in Fontana. The police immediately spotted the car and began a pursuit. The female victim was not injured.
As the chase began in Fontana, the suspect sped off onto the I-10 Freeway and continued into the San Gabriel Valley.
With hazard lights flashing, the driver escaped a spike strip that police had thrown onto the westbound highway. Later, the suspect crossed eastern LA County and the city before heading into the San Fernando Valley.
After arriving in the Van Nuys area, the suspect entered the 405 Freeway. With several police vehicles following the suspect, the pursuit continued on northbound I-5 in Newhall.
It continued slowly until the suspect blew a tire near Six Flags Magic Mountain.
As the defendant was being handed over to the police, the police released a K9 on him shortly after he turned to face the police.
