Hogwarts Legacy is the US market’s best-selling game of the year so far, according to data covering up to the end of November, while Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is is on his tail.
According to data published by Circana (NPD) chief executive Mat Piscatella, Modern Warfare 3 is now the second best-selling US game of the year, despite being launched alongside the series’ best then bad reviews.

Worldwide, the Hogwarts Legacy has sold more than 15 million and has grossed more than $1 billion, according to Warner Bros. Discovery.
The rest of the year’s top ten sellers are made up of Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 2, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Mortal Kombat 1, Starfield and Resident Evil. Evil 4.
According to Circana, Modern Warfare 3 was the best-selling game in November, marking the fifth year in a row that a Call of Duty title has topped this month (Red Dead Redemption II ranked 1st in Nov 2018) .
The Hogwarts Legacy took third place in November, driven by the launch of the Nintendo Switch version.
According to Circana’s Player Engagement Tracker, Call of Duty HQ (which includes Modern Warfare 3) ranked 2nd in monthly users on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles in November, behind Fortnite.
On Steam, Lethal Company ranks 2nd in monthly users in Nov, behind only Counter-Strike 2.
