Hamas terrorists continued to fire rockets from a “humanitarian zone” set up in southern Gaza on Saturday, according to reports.
The Israeli Defense Forces said that the terrorists “launched several rockets at Israel from an area designed to protect civilians in the southern Gaza Strip of Al-Mawasi on Friday, the The Times of Israel reported.
The area established by the IDF to be safe for civilians in the Gaza Strip was torn apart by the war.
Four rockets were fired from the al-Mawasi area on Saturday, but “reached the Gaza Strip and endangered many citizens in Gaza,” a statement from the IDF said.
“This is another proof that Hamas uses the IDF humanitarian zone for terrorist activities,” the IDF said.
The IDF published a photo showing the locations of the rocket launcher from al-Mawasi, as well as a photo showing a rocket launcher.
Fire continues from the Gaza Strip to Israel from other areas south and central Gaza in recent days, in areas where the IDF is not operating on the ground, the newspaper reported.
