A Florida man is calling on Rockstar Games to pay him $2 million for actually appearing for one second as a person who looks like him in the trailer show for Grand Theft Auto 6. Lawrence Sullivan, AKA “Florida Joker,” accused the school of stealing his image in his new TikTok video. Of course Redemption Dead Dead 2 the voice actor didn’t get it.
Sullivan, who tattooed his face as Jared Leto’s version of the Joker after appearing as the villainous Batman in 2016’s Suicide Squad, is trying to cash in on his recent flash of fame. “Let’s talk,” he said in a public call to Rockstar after parodies of him and other viral social media figures show up inside GTA 6the long-awaited first trailer. At the end of the week, he followed up with some special needs.
“We should talk about (if) you shouldn’t bring me like a million or two,” Sullivan said. his new TikTok video. “Florida Joker ain’t having that, you took all my face, you took all my life.” State media laws generally protect people’s rights to benefit from their own likenesses, with notable exceptions for things like parody.
One person Sullivan seems to think has no reason to complain is Roger Clark, the background vocalist Redemption Dead Dead 2The main character is Arthur Morgan. “(Rockstar Games is) a lawyer, man,” he said in his own TikTok video, according to PC Gamer. “They know exactly what they can and cannot get away with. If I were you, I would use the fame they threw your way to your success. Top it off in another way. You don’t get a job at Home Depot looking like that.”
Clark has since deleted the video, perhaps because he felt uncomfortable with Sullivan’s face, or perhaps because he didn’t want to raise the profile of his former employer on social media. In the words of Arthur Morgan, “We can’t change what’s been done, we can only move forward.”
