ATLANTA – Three people are dead and one is in the hospital after a shooting in a high-rise apartment building in Buckhead.

The Atlanta Police Department said Maj. Peter Malecki’s call for help came to 911 around 6:45 pm on Saturday evening.

Homicide investigators believe the residents of the apartment invited others into their apartment for a drug deal, and that went to war.

Investigators have not released the names or ages of the gunmen. They are working to confirm who is living now.

It happened at an event called 3005 Buckhead. It is located at the corner of Pharr Road and Peachtree Road Northeast.

“This is something that happened in a unit,” said Maj. Scott. “That’s the side we can’t guard. So, we need good thinking to overcome those situations. And, of course, nothing good comes from drug activity. This department will do its best to shut down drug operations. So, if anyone has any suggestions or information, that’s why we ask you to send them to us so that we can try to prevent incidents like this.”
