Democratic Sen. Chris Murphy defended the latest charges against Hunter Biden on Sunday, calling them “legally justified” while criticizing the first son as “very disturbing.”
Murphy (D-Ct.) tore the behavior of the former son, but at the same time pushed the Republicans for using a crisis against President Biden.
“I think this is a very disturbing person who did things that deserve to be charged,” Murphy said on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday.
“The American people understand that Hunter Biden will not be on the ballot next fall – Joe Biden will be on the ballot.”
Hunter Biden was indicted on nine new charges last week – three felonies and six misdemeanors – for alleged tax evasion.

“The truth is when I look at the Trump family, it looks like they’ve made a business out of benefiting from the presidency of Donald Trump,” he said.
The senator mentioned the condition of former President Donald Trump’s wife Jared Kushner’s company received a $2 billion investment from Saudi Arabia after leaving the White House.
“Hunter Biden will be held accountable in court for any violations of the law that he has committed,” Murphy added when pressed about the former son’s business dealings.
