Camden Toy, the most famous actor to play memorable vampires and demons on the WB’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angeldied Monday after a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer, according to his official Facebook page. He was 68 years old.
The toys appeared in Season 4 Explosives group “Hush” is one of the demonic men. He played the skin-eating demon Gnarl in Season 7’s “Same Time, Same Place.” He returned as a former Turok-Han vampire.

His partner, Bea Henderson, wrote about Toy’s plight on Facebook last week:
“He was diagnosed in February last year after months of secret pain. For many reasons we were hoping for, at least, a longer and more productive time on planet Earth. Even the recent challenges felt like an obstacle in the way. Unfortunately, it seems that we have reached the end of the road with the doctor’s treatment. His condition has decreased a lot in the last 2 months and a lot in the last few days.
Among the answers is one from Guillermo del Toro collaborator Doug Jones, who worked with Toy as one of the men above. Explosives.
“This is a tough one,” Jones said. “There are so many memories including working together, many years of laughter, sharing friends, being together, traveling, conventions, and hugging each other and our fans.
“To know Camden Toy is to love Camden Toy. We may have met on the set of Explosives as two handsome men, but only a dear friendship that lasted for twenty-four years.
“It’s rare to find a man who is so happy, smiling, intelligent, talented, smiling, huggie, good at listening and with his heart, and easy to find for anyone he knows, including many of his fans.
“May he rest in the peace of God.”
