Baldur’s Gate 3 wins Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2023

The Game of the Year 2023 is a wrap, with Baldur’s Gate 3 winning the top honor of Game of the Year. Larian’s Swen Vincke accepted the award in full armor. The title beat tough competition, with other nominees including Alan Wake II, Resident Evil 4 Remake, Tears of the Kingdom and Super Mario Bros Wonder.

With so many great games being released this year, many other nominees were honored in categories other than Game of the Year. For example, Alan Wake 2 won the best story, Tears of the Kingdom won the best game-model and Super Mario Bros. Wonder won the best family game.

Baldur’s Gate 3 also won awards for Best RPG, Best Multiplayer and Best Community Support, while actor Neil Newbon, who plays Astarion’s companion in the game, won Best Performance.
